Three things,
done right.

The sock is 72% merino wool, knit on small-gauge machines, finished by hand at the toe. Everything else — the cushion, the stretch, the cuff — is there in service of those three choices.

We don't believe in the spec sheet as a selling tool. Most sock pages list twelve fibers and call it innovation. We chose three things to get right and didn't add a fourth to pad the page.

Merino wool cuff & body

72% merino from high-altitude farms in New Zealand and Patagonia. 17.5 micron — fine enough that it doesn't itch against bare skin. Temperature-regulating: warm when it's cold, cool when it's warm. Naturally antimicrobial, so they don't stink after a long day. The remaining 28% is a nylon-elastane blend for structure and recovery — the reason they still fit on day 100.

Terry loop sole

A dense terry loop underfoot — closer to the cushion of a running sock than the thinness of a dress sock, but without the spongy feel of performance gear. You notice it the first time you step on a cold floor in the morning. You stop noticing it after that, which is the point.

Hand-linked toe

Every toe is closed by hand on a linking machine, loop by loop. No pressure seam, no ridge, no friction point. It takes longer. It's the single biggest reason people tell us these feel different. Worth the minutes.

How we make them

Small batches, not pallet loads. We'd rather sweat the details on a few hundred pairs than ship tens of thousands we haven't touched. When something's off, we stop and fix it.

How to care for them

Machine wash cold, inside out, with like colors. Tumble dry low or lay flat. Don't bleach. Don't iron (why would you). Treated right, a pair will hold its shape and softness for years — merino is resilient in a way synthetics aren't.
